In March we learned that OnLive would be priced at 14.95! A little before launch we learned it would only be 4.95! Now according to the OnLive blog it is now going to be free of charge. You don't have to worry about buying a game and keep paying a monthly subscription to play the games you bought. You buy them and they are yours. No subscription needed. This was the main barrier for many people wanting to try this service. So since it is free you don't have to worry about losing access to your games because you can't pay the monthly fee. Very excited to see them going to route of Gaikai. Now the cloud gaming is heating up. So signup for an account. Also my gamertag for the service is GameGoal. Cloud Gaming

I am very excited for the possibilities of cloud gaming. I hope to keep GameGoal up and running and if I do you can definitely expect to see cloud gaming incorporated into the website. I will probably do the Gaikai affiliate service if enough people come to my website. I was also looking at GameStreamer and they might be good as a store for GameGoal. They are currently download only but they will have streaming options by the end of the year. So either you can download or stream. Its great to have a choice. Then we have OTOY. I don't know if I can get that one our website. If the portals they the launch with offer HTML codes to stream the game from any page you will most certainly find it on GameGoal. The only thing I would be able to do with OnLive is do blog post about the games and link to the game(which they have confirmed as a feature). I will also have my OnLive stream viewable on both the website and blog so you can check out me playing on the OnLive service. There are lots of things that can come out of this. Some think it is too soon but I think they hit the target with 2010! I have played with OnLive and the other companies deliver then we will have a big chance of GameGoal staying up. If you want to try out InstantAction it is on our website now with the Secret of Monkey Island: SE. While it isn't the greatest game it is a start to prove how fast they can get the game to people. If anything you should try it to see how it works. If they get what they want we will be seeing Call of Duty Black Ops here on GameGoal. I can even embed it into a blog post. So definitely come back and see what happens with that deal. Share you opinion below about the whole cloud gaming thing!!!

I have been playing OnLive lately. Let me tell you it is amazing. It works great. Sometimes there is some pixel problems but it doesn't affect the gameplay. It is very responsive. I even get a latency message before I login to the service but it works anyways. It is really a great service. I will definitely be subscribing to it when I have to start paying in a year. Oh on another note, who is subscribing to Playstation Plus? I have looked at the features and am definitely going to be subscribing on day one. I want Wipeout HD and that is the first game they are having on the service. The automatic updates thing sounds really cool. I also am looking forward to the PSOne classic and mini's. I also have heard that you get Qore with the Playstation Plus!!! Definitely worth it!! June 29th here I come!!!

I know everyone is going to hate me for posting this but this weekend is the last weekend you will ever be able to play your original xbox games online. Remember microsoft is pulling the plug on April 15th. So if you want to play them you better do it now. Also if you are ready to scream because they are pulling the cord I do have some good news. There is a program that allows you to play LAN games over the internet. So if you are crying right now because Halo 2 is going bye bye you don't have to. The software is called XLink Kai. So I hope you enjoy the Xbox Original games before they go offline on April 15th. It's better to remember that they are going offline then not know and try to get on later and wonder why!!!

Free games that don't suck!

I know people love free games. Lots of people have this idea that free games suck because they are free. Well I have noticed that isn't true. There are three companies I know of that offer free games that are amazing. These companies have millions of registered users(including me) and they have some of the most amazing games online. The first one is Nexon. Some of you may have heard of it some may have not. They are great. I know lots of you all would be interested in their combat arms game. The next company is gPotato. Lots of people like their FLYFF game. I have personally never played this one. I have played Rappelz. But I am sure the other game is as great if not greater. And last and definitely not least is Acclaim. They have games like 9Dragons and 2Moons which are two good games. All of the companies are supported buy in game micro-transactions but the games are really fun without them also. So I hope you check out some of there games and thanks for coming to the GameGoal blog.

Play Phantasy Star Online for Dreamcast Again!

This tutorial will explain where to download and how to install a Dreamcast PSOv2 Image that will automatically connect to the schtserv without using codebreaker or other bypass. It acts as if it never were offline!

First go HERE and download the image. Next you will have to burn a disk with the image on it. Download DiscJuggler from HERE so you can burn the disk. Now to go HERE for information on how to burn the disk. (Step 3: Use the image you downloaded above)

Put the disk in the dreamcast and it should work. It worked for me the first time. Now you can just put in the game and click online and it will connect to the schtserv automatically. Getting online has never been easier for me!!!

Bomb Disposal Expert

This game is pretty amazing. I have played the trial version quite a few times. It is a very simple memory game and the point it to repeat the sequence correctly or the bomb will explode. Hey everyone. How is everyone liking the new WiiWare demos? I have downloaded each one of them. It is kind of annoying when it sends you to the Wii Shop Channel after you are done playing but I guess that it is a free demo so it doesn't bother me as much. I really hope that they keep this up and release more and more on the Wii Shop Channel. If they continue to release the demos they need to have a section for demos and a section for full versions. So one more question. Who is liking the New Xbox Live Update. If you haven't already just turn on your system and the new stuff will just be there. No update required. Just download the facebook, zune, and last.fm and you are ready to go. The twitter is NOT an application it is just there. So I hope everyone is having fun with the new features. Also adhoc Party is coming to Playstation 3 this month. I'm very excited for this feature and facebook is also being integrated into the Playstation 3. So hope you have fun with these new updates. Xbox Live Preview Feedback

Wow two in one day. I updated my Xbox 360 and my Computer with Windows 7. I was wandering if I was going to have to update my Zune. LOL. But this update is also an amazing piece of software. They have done very well making Zune, Last.fm, Facebook, and Twitter working on the console. There are some improvements that could be made but for right now it is amazing. Here is a list of things that I believe could need improvement.

Zune: Well I really love it but when you back out of the software I think it needs to bring you back on the dashboard where you clicked. You will see what I mean when you get it.

Last.fm: This software is an amazing piece of technology. But the only thing I can think of for this is they need to have the ability to listen while you are playing a game.

Facebook: For right now I am giving this a great review. I don't see anything as of yet. There could be possible improvements like using facebook in a game to post screenshots or something like that.

Twitter: Well it kinda seems to be tacked on. I wish that they would have an autotweet feature to tell your friends which achievements you have attained. The other thing they could do is make it where you can quick launch it. This is the only one that you can't quick launch into. I really dislike that idea.

So all and all the software is great. I really hope that they improve their software some more in the future. Now they just need to be able to download music directly to your console through zune. So if you were accepted what do you thing?

Xbox 360 being used to detect heart defects

We've suffered our fair share of broken hearts at the hands of the Red Ring of Death -- now, the Xbox 360 is being used to mend our ailing blood-pumpers. A computer scientist at the University of Warwick in England recently did some sweet console modification to allow his 360 to calculate heart rhythms using a complex algorithm. Microsoft's console is capable of performing these calculations five times faster (and 10 times cheaper) than a lab computer, and has the added benefit of letting its users play Madden in between bursts of scientific study.

To sum up, the 360 is now being used to cure heart disease, and the PS3 is being used to cure cancer. Ball's in your court, Nintendo.

Well practically it's a service that lets you play games from servers and there is no downloading you just play instantly. It is streamed to a PC or Mac or you can use their console the Microconsole to play the games. They have high end games like burnout paradise, bioshock, lego batman, and much more. Well last Saturday wrapped up the Season 1 Beta of 1 vs 100 Live. You can still play 1 vs 100 Extended play. I was in the mob a total of four times. Well I love this game. When I first played this game I was a little skeptical on how fun it would be. Well it turns out that this simple game actually is really fun. I love exploding the doctor people up. Since you can play with your friends and play 50 different rounds you won't get bored for a while. Everyone should go snag the demo copy of this game. Well I have been using this software some. It is awesome because it allows you to play LAN games over the internet. It also lets you play almost any multiplayer PSP game online against people. So if one of your favorite games goes offline and it had a LAN function you are lucky because this software will probably support it. Some games you have to setup times with your friends but it is well worth it. The software supports Xbox 360, Xbox, Playstation 3, Playstation 2, PSP, and Gamecube. It even lets you play games that were never online(has to support LAN function), well online. So I hope to look at this great software. Phantasy Star Online: To get your PSO game online it is very simple. You can visit SCHTSERV or you can burn this disk image which will automatically connect to their server without any bypasses. To learn how to burn this follow my tutorial HERE!

Starlancer: Well this is officially online still so just put in the game and play online.

4x4 Evolution: This is also officially online so you can just put the game in and play.

Maximum Pool: You just download this file to your Dreamcast Memory Card (VMU) then you put in the disk and you will be playing online.

Sega Swirl: Sega swirl uses an email account instead of servers. So you need to put your email information in and you should be good to go!
